Barak Allahu LaKuma

My husband bought Maher Zain’s CD last week. To be frank, i never bought any CD in my entire life. And dear husband has never show that he likes or knows Maher Zain. So, it was quite a surprise.

Anyway, the kids so love the nasyeed. And I love track no 3 (insya Allah) and track no 8 (Barak Allahu Lakuma).

I understand what is Insya Allah, but not the other song. I then took an effort to find the lyrics and the meaning.

Masya Allah. It means well wishes for a marriage. Instantly, it reminds me of dear husband’s niece whose getting married next weekend.

Therefore this song is dedicated to Azura Nadzimuddin and the bride to be, Fariz.

Barak Allahu lakum wa barak ‘aleikum wa jama’ bainakuma fi khair.
May Allah bless you, surround you with blessings, and bring you both together in virtue and prosperity

Barak Allahu Lakuma

We’re here on this special day
Our hearts are full of pleasure
A day that brings the two of you
Close together
We’re gathered here to celebrate
A moment you’ll always treasure
We ask Allah to make your love
Last forever

Let’s raise our hands and make Do’a
Like the Prophet taught us
And with one voice
Let’s all say, say, say

بارك الله لكما وبارك عليكما
وجمع بينكما في خير

From now you’ll share all your chores chores
Through heart-ship to support each other
Together worshipping Allah
Seeking His pleasure

We pray that He will fill your life
With happiness and blessings
And grants your kids who make your home
Filled with laughter

Let’s raise our hands and make Do’a
Like the Prophet taught us
And with one voice
Let’s all say, say, say

Let’s raise our hands and make Do’a
Like the Prophet taught us
And with one voice
Let’s all say, say, say

بارك الله لكما وبارك عليكما

وجمع بينكما في خير

Insha Allah everything will be made easy for your wedding.
